KIDS CAMP | START THE PARTY

Every summer, kids gather together for 3 nights and 4 days. They experience God in the outdoors, technology and distraction free.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Prepare Your Camper in Advance of Camp

Watch Interview With Pastor Steve & Pastor Braden

Parent Communication Suggestion:

  • Anticipate the new things that your camper might experience and then help nurture their personal growth that may result from their time at camp before and after they return home.

It is common for concern to be present in both the parents and the campers leading up to camp about being apart.

Preparing early and trusting God will help dispel those fears.

  • If they haven’t been away from home overnight, plan a weekend stay with a family member or a friend for them to give them a taste of what it’s like.
  • Acknowledge their fears and be overly reassuring that everything will be okay and that they will have a blast!
  • Register for camp with a friend or relative and get them together regularly to talk about camp. This will not only build anticipation but start forming a strong bond.
  • Share stories about how much fun you had a summer camp as a kid and how they are certain to be in for the time of their life!
  • Build a general excitement about the week by regularly talking about it and telling friends and family about the exciting week your camper has ahead of them this summer! Speak of it as an accomplishment.
  • The ideas are endless and you know your camper best so we know you’ll be able to prepare your child or what could me the most memorable experience of their childhood.

Counselors

  • All of our counselors and CITs are dedicated members of our church and have gone through a background check and child safety training course. We also have multiple trainings on what to expect from their campers including those that may have night terrors, wet the bed, anxiety, and other situations that may arise at camp. They learn not only how to keep them physically and mentally safe, but also how to help connect them to the love of Jesus.

Friends

  • Whether your camper is shy or makes friends with every stranger they meet, we’ve got you covered! Camp is all about making amazing friendships and lasting memories.

Campsite

  • The campsite has amazing staff and great emergency plans. They all have first-aid training and the pool has certified life-guards along with swim tests for the deep end.

Nurse/Medications

  • We have nurse who will handle any health situations and safely distribute medications, just bring the bottle during registration and fill out the medication form with the nurse.

Physical Activity:

  • Get the kids moving leading up to camp and make sure they get lots of water and sleep before camp so they can run hard that week!

What should they pack?

  • All the important info including a packing list is included in the email you receive after registration is complete.
