Senior Pastors
Pastors Steve and Tina have been in ministry for almost 30 years. While dating just after high school, Steve was invited to church by one of his shipyard coworkers. There he met Jesus, and shortly after Tina did as well. Their lives were forever changed, and haven't been the same since. They soon after married in 1981. Feeling the call to serve the Church and young people, they began to serve as youth pastors at their first home church, Christian Faith Center, where they stayed for 18 years. In 1997, They felt the call to pioneer a church in Seattle's outer suburbs. This led them to Maple Valley, WA, where they started the church with a few interns and about 20 other people. For months they began to meet in their living room, and on Mother's Day 1998, Real Life Church held its first service at Tahoma Junior High. Since then the church has grown to a be a healthy church that has a large impact both locally and globally. Steve and Tina have a love for people and their community, and those are values that RLC holds true to this day.
Steve and Tina have three boys, Taylor, Shelby and Cameron. They were all raised to love the Lord and the House of God, and this is something evident to this day. Steve also loves to mountain bike on the Church's property and loves to create art. Tina loves going to UW Huskies games and interior design.

Al & Nora Matthews
Life!Group Directors and Elders/Office Administrator
Al and Nora have been married for nearly 30 years, and have been in ministry for over 27 of them. Nora joined the RLC Board of Directors as the Corporate Secretary at the church's inception in 1998. They have been involved in ministry at RLC ever since. Nora attended Christian Life School of Theology and graduated with an Associate degree in Theology and was licensed as a Pastor in 2003. Nora is Pastor Steve’s Executive assistant and manages the church office. Currently both Al and Nora are “Life!Group” Pastors and Elders serving together. Al and Nora also minister as service coordinators on Sunday mornings. Nora's gifting is facilitating and delegating tasks for events and services, while Al is strongly gifted in the area of prophetic and serving in the church and to the congregation.

Taylor & Noelle Murray
Youth Pastors/Worship Director
Taylor and Noelle have been involved with youth ministry for over 8 years combined, and together for over 4 years. Before returning to Real Life Church in the Summer of 2009, they served in the youth and worship ministries at City Bible Church in Portland, Oregon. It was there Taylor received his Bachelor's Degree in Theology & Youth Ministry. Taylor and Noelle love youth ministry because they love the Church and they love young people. They are currently leading the youth ministry (UNDIVIDED) with a great team of youth leaders.
In addition to youth ministry, Taylor and Noelle are both involved in Worship Ministry. Noelle joined our staff as the Worship Director in the summer of 2009. Noelle graduated from Portland Bible College in 2007 with her degree in Counseling and Worship Ministry. In 2008, she married Taylor, who graduated from PBC with his degree in theology and youth ministry.

Tammy Payseno
Childrens Director
Tammy has worked in children's ministry for over 19 years, growing younger each year, and she currently serves as the Childrens Director at RLC. She started out at her home church in Lewiston, ID at the age of 20. It was there she felt the call to work with kids and youth and has been doing it ever since.
Tammy is also incredibly blessed with Bob, her "amazing, understanding and loving husband." With his wholehearted support, Tammy is able to do what God has called her to do: minister to the hearts of children. Bob and Tammy also have two wonderful teenage children, Monica and Lucas.

Rick & Traci Heinz
Elders & Summit Ridge Freeride Park Director
Rick and Traci have been a part of our church nearly since the beginning in 1998. Their involvement has increased over the years to where they are now. They currently serve as Church Elders as well as Project Managers over our church building project. With Rick and Traci both working at Boeing as engineers and project managers, this is a perfect fit for them. They are continually exemplifying what it means to use their God-given gifts to build the kingdom.
Rick's role has shifted in the recent years to oversee the mountain-bike trails on our property (Summit Ridge) in cooperation with the Black Diamond Freeride Park. This has been a great community-building relationship that we believe will continue to grow in the future. Click the links above for more information.
